El Zorro Mid-Term Hearing: Monday decides on her future unless the judge does a chicanada
MÉRIDA, Yucatán.- Despite the suspicious performance of the anti-corruption prosecutor, this Monday the director of the INDERM, Roger Aguilar Arroyo will go to the intermediate hearing, in which his future will be decided.
This is because the former mayor of Motul was given “stick” to the review appeal he requested, after a district judge denied him the protections he requested, so the next thing is the mid-term hearing.
However, there is doubt if the judge who sees the case does not go out with a chicanada and for some reason does not suspend it, to try to save the skin of the former mayor of Motul.
In this way, next Monday, September 22, the middle hearing will begin and the judge of the First Court of Control, Diana Yadira Garrido Solón, convened for the session and there will decide if he suspends it and leaves it unfinished or finishes it.
If the El Zorro ends it will have serious problems, since a trial will be formally initiated, which can be oral or an abbreviated process: If it is a trial I would try to prove that it did not steal the money attributed to it.
If it is an abbreviated process, he will have accepted his guilt and would be convicted, with a reduction of the sentence of up to two thirds and would free the prison, although he will be “signed” because he will have a criminal record and will NOT be able to occupy positions of popular election.
PRECISION: On Monday, August 11, we published that the former mayor of Motul Roger Aguilar Arroyo was denied the protections he requested for the complaint of diversion of money, of the first of TWO folders of criminal proceedings that he has against, and, to avoid that the intermediate hearing is given, he requested the review of the denial of the amparos.
CURRENT STATE OF THE PROCESS: After the district judge resolved the amparos and denied them, the defense promoted amparos in review, which are studied in the Collegiate Circuit Court, which resolved and held its sentence that the amparos do NOT proceed.
That is, twice they gave stick to the #ZorroRata, the request for amparos and the revision of the resolution of the amparos.
The new: Totally colluded, with the #ZorroRataTu, the prosecutor Rocío Guadalupe Abreu Bernat, of the Specialized Unit in Combating Corruption, again asked for a postponement by institutional mail, but the judge replied that it does not proceed, so that the hearing will be held this Monday, September 22, at 9 a.m.
The two requests for postponement by the anti-corruption prosecutor raise suspicions in the judicial and political corridors, and it is believed that the prosecutor is trying to avoid monetary reasons, when his duty is to seek to convict the accused.
